The principle of intervention

The intervention aims to eliminate excess skin and fat found in the upper and lower eyelids. This excess of skin and fat leads to a decrease in the visual field through its ptosis over the eyelid slit, leads to the appearance of wrinkles and bags especially in the lower eyelid, and gives the face a tired appearance. The cause is first and foremost the aging process manifested by decreased skin elasticity, changes in periorbital fat and last but not least the action of solar radiation on periorbital skin.

Outside the outer edge, horizontal wrinkles with a centrifugal appearance are formed, also called Crow’s Feet wrinkles. These wrinkles are accentuated with age as a result of the action of the underlying muscle orbicularis muscle of the eyelid. The eyelid fat is a very well vascularized and innervated tissue and as a result is sensitive to hormonal and emotional changes. This accentuates the formation and maintenance of the bags. The intervention eliminates the aspect of fatigue due to the bags of the lower and upper eyelids, postoperatively the gaze acquires brightness and liveliness, the physiognomy becomes more open, more rejuvenated.

To remember

The operation corrects the bags and the skin of the periorbital region. After the intervention, the edema and bruising are constant but disappear after 4-5 days. The visual field improves significantly as the physiognomy acquires a tonic appearance. Both sexes benefit from this intervention. The physiognomy becomes more convincing, the gaze more mobile, and the attitude more confident.
